Brazilian firms Pinheiro Neto and Barbosa Müssnich & Aragão have advised on sugarcane processor Coscan’s $715 million purchase of Exxon Mobil’s Brazilian service stations.

Pinheiro Neto, led by Marcelo Viveiros de Moura, represented Cosan. Francisco Antunes Maciel Müssnich and Alexandre Tadeu Seguim from Barbosa Müssnich & Aragão acted for Exxon Mobil.

White & Case also counselled Cosan from its New York, London, and Washington DC offices.

The purchase will make Cosan Brazil’s fourth-largest fuels distributor.
