Spanish firm Garrigues is to expand its operations in Morocco, planning to open an office in Tangiers in January 2009.
 
The firm says the rapid expansion of work in northern Morocco was behind the move to open in Tangiers - in particular work on the revitalisation of the Tanger Méditerranée port . The new office will be led by partner José Ignacio García Muniozguren.

Garrigues launched its Casablanca office in 2005, and is known locally as Garrigues Maroc. Garrigues becomes the only law firm to have more than one office in Morocco.
