Linklaters has added Alberto Luzárraga as a partner in its corporate department in New York.
Mr. Luzárraga joins from Shearman & Sterling, where he advised on a range of corporate transactions.
Linklaters US co-managing partner Nick Rees says the addition of Mr. Luzárraga will enhance the firms US and Latin American capabilities in particular Linklaters' cross-border M&A work.
The move follows the transfer of senior capital markets partner Ray Fisher from Germany to New York in May 2008 to focus on Brazilian work.
