FoxMandal Little is advising Alcatel-Lucent on a joint venture with Reliance Communications, an Indian mobile phone company.

The deal will give the US-French telecoms group a 67% stake in the joint venture, giving it access to the world's fastest-growing mobile market, worth an estimated $16 billion.

FoxMandal Little's team was led by partners Som Mandal and Vineet Aneja, and advised on all aspects of the joint venture's negotiation and structure.

Reliance was advised by its in-house legal team.
